Britney Spears' appearance on US X Factor must be one of the most hotly anticipated judging roles we've ever seen.
Simon Cowell has got us even more excited about Britney Spears' role as US X Factor judge, by revealing that she's been 'mean' in her criticisms of contestants.
Seeing as this comment has come from the king of mean himself, we're now fully expecting Britney to be the harshest judge the X Factor has ever seen.
Simon revealed: "Britney's quite mean, as you'll discover."
He went on to explain why he'd chosen her as a judge in the first place: "I was fascinated with her as a person, as a pop star, and there's something intriguing about her. And she's a really good judge."

He said: "She's annoying, obnoxious, disruptive, gobby, irritating, bad manners, not great taste — did I say irritating? Annoying, very annoying. She's a brat."
At this point we were wondering what the heck Simon was thinking hiring 'mean' Britney and 'bratty' Demi, but he went on to compliment Demi.
He said: "I could go on for hours, but that's what makes her special, and I really do love her, a bit."
