The A-list pair, who were rumoured to be tying the knot this weekend, confirmed that they are now husband and wife in a statement to a US magazine.
The newlyweds said: "It's great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends."

Hollywood's gorgeous couple, who got engaged last December, are believed to have tied the knot in a secluded location in Southern Italy.
According to our sister site in the US, their vows were exchanged at Francis Ford Coppola's Palazzo Margherita in Bernalda, a small hilltop town near the Ionian Sea.

Justin, 31, and Jessica, 30, who have been together five years, had kept pretty quiet about their nuptials in the run up to the big day, keeping the location, guests and details top secret.
But this week they were spotted with guests enjoying pre-wedding drinks at a spot in Southern Italy.

On Wednesday they reportedly hosted a beach party in Puglia, which featured jazz music and a 10-minute fireworks display.
The following day guests apparently gathered at a grotto in Lama del Trappeto where they relaxed and ate wine and cheese.

According to The Sun, Justin was going to surprise his wife by performing a comedy dance routine to allude to his 'N Sync days.
Congrats to the gorgeous pair. Hands up who reckons they will have beautiful children.

Girls Aloud announce tour and unveil Something New video, we faint from excitement

So today saw the big Girls Aloud reunion that we've been waiting approximately three years for. And BOY was it worth the wait.

Girls Aloud announced that they'll be releasing a greatest hits album featuring four brand new tracks in November, before going on tour in the spring. Oh and they also unveiled the video for Something New as well.
And we were there to hear/see it all.

Looking absolutely stunning, Girls Aloud strutted into the room - and it was like they'd never been away.

After answering questions about their new single, Cheryl Cole let the cat out of the bag by mentioning the tour.

The girls revealed that they can't wait to get back on stage for the tour which kicks of in February.
Kimberley Walsh said: "Touring is one of the things we all enjoy the most."
Cheryl Cole agreed, saying: "Touring is the best thing we do full stop."

We were also surprised to hear that Girls Aloud began recording new material in the spring, but managed to keep it all under wraps.
Cheryl said that managing to keep the recording a secret was a big achievement for them.
Girls ALoudGirls Aloud are back! Hooray! Copyright [WENN]The stunner said: "We have been socialising the whole time, so it wasn't like we had been apart for three years. But it was emotional to talk about the fact that we are ten years down the line. We had a chat in a hotel over tea - we were very cloak and dagger for a while."
And what's more, the girls held their reunion in the very same hotel that they stayed in on the night that Girls Aloud were first formed. Bet that was a blast from the past for them!
Girls Aloud finished the press conference by revealing that they were unsure what'll happen once the tour is over.

Nadine Coyle said: "Coming back together and being back int the studio and having all our voices on a track together is just so amazing. We will just have to wait and see how the fans react and how everything goes."
There's still hope, then. Hooray.
We're now off to have a little lie down.

Simon Cowell has ANOTHER new lady! Jenson Button’s ex, Fame Academy’s Louise Griffiths!

Just the other day he was caught snogging the face off Carmen Electra, however Simon Cowell already reportedly has a new lady friend in the form of Louise Griffiths.
Louise is reported to have been spotted out on dates with Simon. Copyright: [rex/wenn]

And yes, some of you may recognize Louise.
If you are a fan of Formula One, or fit Formula One drivers then you will know that Louise was previously engaged to Jenson Button.
However, if you are less of a fan of Formula One and more of a fan of reality TV, you may remember Louise from her stint on Fame Academy.
Louise was engaged to Jensonin 2005. Copyright: [rex]
That is, if you are obsessed enough to even remember Fame Academy!
Basically, it was a but like X Factor but without Simon Cowell and on the BBC.
But now Louise has reportedly snagged actual Simon Cowell and the pretty lady seems absolutely smitten, tweeting last night:
"Going to bed as the sun is coming up, haven't done that in a while! #fun"
A friend told The Sun: "She and Simon have started to get very close. It is early days but there is certainly a chemistry between them."

The pair have been spotted out on a number of dates and Louise is even believed to have been Simon's date to his 53rd birthday party.
However, the 34-year-old is one in a string of ladies to have #fun with Simon Cowell, so we reckon Louise had better watch out before she is replaced with yet another leggy brunette.
Just ask Sinitta, Dannii Minogue, Mezhgan Hussainy or Carmen Electra.

Championship: Wednesday keeper Kirkland attacked by Leeds United fan

Leeds fan attacks Chris Kirkland (screen grab)
Eurosport - Leeds fan attacks Chris Kirkland (screen grab)
The 31-year-old former Wigan Athletic keeper, who picked up one England cap in 2006, was knocked to the floor with a violent two-handed shove to the face after a fan ran on the pitch following the Leeds equaliser in the 77th minute.
The Leeds United fan could clearly be seen smiling as he ran back into the ground while the dazed Kirkland lay prostrate. After medical treatment, Kirkland was able to continue for the remainder of the Yorkshire derby clash.
The Leeds fans amongst the crowd of 28,582 also courted controversy by singing songs that referenced criminal charges against Wednesday manager Dave Jones which were eventually dropped, as well as seeming to salute Jimmy Savile, the former broadcaster who is now the subject of a criminal investigation for child abuse.
An unhappy Jones called on Leeds United fans to be banned from future away matches after branding them "vile animals".
Leeds United were quick to release a statement denouncing the incident.
"Leeds United Football Club would like to publicly apologise and condemn the action of the fan who came on the pitch and attacked Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Chris Kirkland. The club will fully co-operate with the police and the football authorities in identifying the individual concerned. After the week football has endured there is no place for this type of behaviour and the majority of Leeds supporters will be ashamed of his actions."
The sentiments were shared by Leeds manager Neil Warnock. "I'm absolutely embarrassed - absolute disgrace," said Warnock, who also seemed to suggest Kirkland had exaggerated his fall.
"Listen, he (Kirkland) went down like a ton of bricks, but that doesn't make a difference," said Warnock. "There's no way he should be on the pitch doing that, I hope we can make an absolute issue of it.
"It spoilt everything for everybody. When I see a moron like that I'm not proud to be Leeds manager. I don't mind the rivalry - elbows flying, penalties missed by the referee - but to see things like that...I'm absolutely embarrassed.
"They had enough security men, but if you've got a person like him with what must be a five-year-old's mentality then you can't stop it. Get the guy, prosecute him and put him in bloody prison. Our crowd was fantastic tonight - we had one moron. I'm very sorry about that."
Kirkland, 31, had just conceded a 77th-minute equaliser to Michael Tonge when the incident happened, with a man running onto the field from the Leppings Lane End which was housing the Leeds fans, and appearing to punch Kirkland in the face.
The man then returned to the stand while trouble continued around him, with a number of other visiting supporters running on and off the field and stewards struggled to contain them.
Tonge, who spent a large chunk of his career under former Sheffield United boss Warnock, fired home a swerving 25-yard shot in the 76th minute to cancel out Jay Bothroyd's first-half header and deny Wednesday a first win in eight league matches.
But despite rescuing a point with a much-improved second-half display, Leeds are now sure to find themselves in serious trouble from the game's authorities.
Riot police had earlier filtered out to try and diffuse ugly scenes in the away end prior to Tonge's strike, with bottles thrown between baying sets of home and away supporters.
Leeds boss Warnock, returning to his home city for the first time since former club Crystal Palace triumphed over the Owls at Hillsborough in an FA Cup tie in 2010, will have been grateful for Tonge's rescue act after his side stretched their unbeaten run to five matches despite being outplayed for long periods.
Leeds were given a real let-off in the 23rd minute by referee Eddie Ilderton, who somehow failed to see Leeds forward Luciano Becchio handle the ball when diving in his own penalty area to head clear Bothroyd's 23rd-minute corner.
But Wednesday, belying their lowly status, secured the lead they deserved two minutes before the break. Long-throw specialist Michail Antonio launched a missile into the Leeds box from the left and Bothroyd rose highest to head home unopposed, low into Kenny's right-hand corner.
Leeds were more purposeful after the restart and went close to an equaliser through another free-kick from Tongue after Gardner had been booked for his high tackle on Diouf.
Tonge's brilliant equaliser in the 76th minute following Aidy White's lay-off then prompted the disgraceful scenes as some Leeds fans to pour through fencing.
Kirkland required treatment before the game could resume and although Owls substitute Danny Mayor went close with a shot blocked by Jason Pearce in the closing stages, the home side had to settle for a point.

Champions League: Silva out of West Brom, Ajax matches

Manchester City playmaker David Silva could be back in action next weekend after suffering a hamstring injury on Spain duty, but he will miss matches against West Brom and Ajax.
David Silva, Manchester City

There were fears he could face a lengthy lay-off but manager Roberto Mancini has delivered an upbeat assessment following the player's return to Manchester.

Silva will definitely miss Saturday's Premier League clash at West Brom and Wednesday's vital Champions League encounter with Ajax but could face Swansea the following Saturday.
Mancini said: "He is not ready for Saturday, and will not be for the Champions League, but we hope for the next game against Swansea."

England players Joe Hart, Joleon Lescott and James Milner returned to City later than expected after their World Cup qualifier in Poland was put back from Tuesday to Wednesday.
Despite the disruption to his preparations, Mancini has no concerns about their condition.
The Italian said: "The English players who played on Wednesday are tired but I am not worried, they have another day to recover."

Mario and Lucy's engagement is off and Arg goes on a blind date

Strange things happened in TOWIE. Joey Essex and Lydia were Essex middlemen, Gemma Collins called someone else's relationship a joke and Mario turned up in the buff to break off his engagement with Lucy.
The Essex lot enjoyed being involved in each other's business tonight. First Joey Essex spoke with Arg's mystery date on the phone, before Lydia chatted to Mario about Lucy. Eventually, Mario and Lucy decided to meet, where Mario made the mistake of telling Lucy he "can't stand" Lydia. He then started picking at his Jimmy Choos - how many more mistakes could the boy make in one episode?

Mario Falcone.Possibly a metaphor for laying everything out bare and stripping off all problems, Mario arrived in the buff to cook (how unhygienic), talk to Lucy and break off the engagement. It's not all over though as the pair are back to being plain old boyfriend and girlfriend. Lucy gets to keep the ring and have a new one for engagement take two, the lucky lass. However, we hope she made Mario promise never to leave the house with Bieber hair again.

Joey Essex might be scouted for the new series of 'Blind Date' after setting up Arg with an old school friend. Essex's new Cilla Black arranged the date with Jasmine and while the two had a few things in common, Arg's chat about his Kenny award (he sounded like a proud eight year old) killed whatever spark there may have been. Better luck next time Arg. Maybe your online dating profile will have more hits next week?

After arriving back to TOWIE in style on the dry ski slope, Ricky 'proposed' Jess took a key to his house - down on one knee, box in hand, with a terrified looking Jess. The pair seemed very loved up with no drama in sight (for now).

All is well in Essex. Arg finally got his Playstation back from Gemma (albeit with no cables), Ricky and Jess are all loved up and Lucy and Mario are happy back as boyfriend and girlfriend. However, it probably won't last. Tune in on Sunday, ITV2 at 10pm for more TOWIE.

Kim Kardashian continues leather fashion trend in leggings

Kim Kardashian cannot get enough of the leather fashion trend at the moment.
Kim KardashianKim Kardashian in her leather leggings. Copyright [Splash]Every time we see Kim Kardashian she's rocking some form of leather, from jackets to mini skirts to these amazing leggings.

Kim Kardashian was pictured strutting through Miami airport in her leather leggings, teamed with a black blouse and gold shoes.
Props also go to Kimmy K for the oversized black handbag and furry coat. Seriously, when we're at an airport we're normally dressed in jogging bottoms and a hoodie.
Kim KArdashianKim Kardashian is a big fan of her leathers. Copyright [Splash/WENN]Kim Kardashian has also been snapped wearing a leather jacket and leather skirt recently, but she's been quite critical of herself.

Kim updated her website to say that she wasn't 'tall or skinny enough' to pull off her leather skirt and shirt ensemble.
We disagree to be honest. With a figure like that, she can pull anything off.
Kim KardashianKim Kardashian has also been rocking leather skirts. Copyright [Kim Kardashian]Kim has recently admitted that her boyfriend Kanye West has influenced her fashion choices since they got together.
She said: "I asked him to introduce me to new stylists and designers [including Givenchy and Lanvin] to help me get the more sophisticated vibe I was going for."
Well if Kanye West was responsible for Kim's penchant for the leather look then we reckon he's doing a great job at helping her find her fashion feet.

Who's the highest-paid actor on TV?

Ashton Kutcher has not only replaced Charlie Sheen as the star of the hit comedy Two And A Half Men, he also took his place as television's highest-paid actor, according to Forbes' annual survey.
Forbes estimated Kutcher earned $24m (£14.8m) from May 2011 to May 2012, while Sheen, now starring in Anger Management on cable television following his very public sacking from the hit CBS show, did not even make the top 10.
A year ago Sheen's $40m (£24.7m) easily outclassed Kutcher by some $16m (£9.9m).
Steve Carell, also in the top 10 last year with $15m (£9.3m) before he left The Office, was also nowhere to be found this year.
Other actors who fared well in the earnings ratings included House star Hugh Laurie and Ray Romano of now-cancelled Men Of A Certain Age, with $18m (£11.1m) each.
Other highly rewarded actors in the top 10 list included Emmy winner Alec Baldwin of 30 Rock, Last Man Standing star Tim Allen, Two And A Half Men co-star Jon Cryer and The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki.
Forbes said its estimates did not include deductions for manager and agent fees, or "the other costs of being a celebrity".

Second presidential debate: the scorecard

Mitt Romney and Barack Obama take part in the second presidential debate (© AP Photo, Charles Dharapak)
Barack Obama and Mitt Romney have taken part in the second live TV debate of the US presidential election campaign.
It was held at Hofstra University in New York, and saw the candidates taking questions from the audience on a range of topics.
Here's our point-by-point scorecard of who performed best in each round of the debate:

Round one

Question: how would the candidates create more jobs for college graduates?
Romney: Spoke of wanting to make it easier for kids to afford to go to college and of providing more grants and loans. Said "I know what it takes" to create jobs, but didn't say how. Score: 2
Obama: Opened forcefully, talking about his achievements as president, including five millions new jobs in the private sector, and listed specific ways to create more work, including increasing manufacturing and investment. Told the questioner that his "future was bright". Score: 3
Follow-up debate: Romney accused Obama of misrepresenting his remarks over wanting to make "Detroit bankrupt", saying Obama ended up doing the same thing. Obama responded: "Romney doesn't have a five-point plan - it's a one-point plan: the folks at the top play by different rules." Appropriately enough, one extra point each.
Overall score: Obama wins, four points to three

Round two

Question: is is the job of the energy department to lower energy prices?
Obama: Discussed his government's energy policy in broad terms, stressing the need to invest in a wide range of energy sources. Promised that within a decade people will be able to travel "twice as far on a gallon of gas". Didn't answer the question directly, and instead argued that all his policies will keep energy prices low. Score: 2
Romney: Attacked Obama's decision to cut the number of permits to drill on federal government lands, at one point accusing Obama of wanting to kill birds. He didn't answer the question either, but said he wanted to get North America "energy indepdent" within eight years and would support more drillings, more permits and licences, and a pipeline in from Canada. Score: 2
Follow-up debate: In a lively exchange of words, Obama repeatedly stated "very little of what Governor Romney said is true". Romney challenged Obama over how many drilling permits and licences he turned down. Obama responded by arguing that companies weren't using licences properly. Romney asked people to compare prices with four years ago, but Obama had a subtle comeback, saying that prices could come down, but only with another recession - which Romney's policies would encourage. He added that his government had built enough pipeline to wrap around the world once. Obama gets extra two points, Romney one.
Overall score: Obama wins, four points to three

Round three

Question: by how much would the candidates cut tax credits?
Romney: Talked about wanting to reduce the number of middle-class tax credits but stressed he would not tax middle-class savings. He didn't answer the question specifically. Score: 1
Obama: Defended tax credits as a way to grow the economy, reminding voters of how they helped boost growth during the Clinton years, and argued that wealthy should pay a little bit more. Score: 1
Follow-up debate: Romney stated "I'm not looking to cut taxes for wealthy people," mentioned how reducing tax rates makes it easier for small businesses to keep employees, and boasted "I spent my life in the private sector." Obama made it personal, describing Romney's tax plans as "a sketchy deal" that "doesn't add up." Romney responded that he knew "what it takes to balance a budget. I've done it my whole life." Two points each.
Overall score: a draw, three points each

Round four

Question: in what ways do you want to rectify inequalities in the workplace?
Obama: Used the examples of his mother and grandmother working to support his family, and mentioned how the first bill he signed as president was one on equal pay in the workplace. "This is a family issue, a middle class issue," he stressed, and said it would be a key theme of his presidency. Score: 3
Romney: Talked about searching for females to work for him as governor of Massachusetts, and his staff coming back with "bundles full of women". Mentioned that businesses in Romney's America will be "anxious to hire women" but didn't mention any specifics. Score: 1

Follow-up debate: Obama quoted Romney's response to his equal pay act: "I'll get back to you", and broadened the topic to include healthcare, stressing his support of a woman's right to choose on matters of abortion and contraception. Romney responded vaguely, mentioning that he thought "everyone should have contraception". Two more points for Obama.
Overall score: Obama triumphs five points to one

Round five

Question: what is the biggest difference between Mitt Romney and George W Bush?
Romney: "Bush and I are different people, and these are different times," he said. "Our party has been focused on big business for too long... Everything I do is designed to help small businesses grow." He tried to distance himself from his predecessor without criticising him, not entirely successfully. Score: 1
Obama: Used the question to damn Romney by praising George Bush, thereby highlighting what he believed to be Romney's extremism on issues such as drilling for oil and healthcare. Score: 1
Overall score: a draw, one point each
Mitt Romney and Barack Obama in the second presidential debate (© AP Photo, Charlie Neibergall)

Round six

Question: what would Obama do to earn the vote of those who supported him in 2008?
Obama: Listed all the promises he made in 2008 which he believed he had kept, such as ending the war in Iraq and reforming healthcare. He also listed the things he would like to do if he won a second term, contrasting them with the "promises" of Romney, including cutting taxes for the well-off. Score: 1
Romney: "If you elect Obama you know what you're going to get - we can't afford that," he said, before quoting some of the promises Obama hasn't kept, including cutting the rate of unemployment and cost of health insurance. "He keeps saying I've created five million jobs, but that's after he lost five million," he added, reciting lots of statistics to support his case. Score: 2
Overall score: a narrow win for Romney, two points to one

Round seven

Question: how can you help immigrants without a green card living in the US to become productive members of society?
Romney: Said he "welcomed legal immigrants" but wanted the immigration system streamlined, with no amnesty for illegal immigrants and an "employment verification system" introduced. He was hazy on what this would mean in practice. Score: 1
Obama: Also admitted "we need to fix our broken immigration system" but attacked laws that allow some state officials to stop people who sight who "look like immigrants". He referenced his own daughter and attacked Romney for encouraging "self-deportation". Score: 1
Follow-up debate: Romney reminded voters that Obama had promised to fix immigration in his first year in office. He also stressed "We're not going to round-up people... we'll let people make their own choice." The debate went off-topic into a discussion about each candidate's personal investments, with Romney taunting Obama to "look at your pension." Obama responded he didn't need to look, "it's not as big as yours." This got the biggest laugh of the night from the audience. Two extra points for Obama.
Overall score: a clear win for Obama, three points to one

Round eight

Question: who denied enhanced security for the US embassy in Benghazi and why?
Obama: Talked about US embassy staff around the world. "I know these folks and these families, and nobody is more concerned about these people than me," he said. He warned Romney: "Don't turn national secrity into a political issue," adding "everybody will be held accountable [for the killings in Benghazi] - these are my folks. I'm the one who has to greet these coffins when they come home." Score: 2
Romney: Attacked Obama on the Benghazi killings, asking why weren't the facts clear, and why did president choose the day after the attack to fly to a political fundraiser. He went on to criticise the president's entire Middle East strategy, which is "unravelling before our very eyes." Score: 2
Follow-up debate: Obama was at his strongest here, staring Romney in the eye and accusing him of being "offensive" in choosing to play politics with people's lives. He insisted he did call the attack an "act of terror" the day after it happened, which Romney initially denied, until the debate moderator corrected Romney. Four more points for Obama.
Overall score: a big win for Obama, six points to two

Round nine

Question: what can be done to increase gun control?
Obama: Stated he believed in a person's right to bear arms, but talked about his experiences of meeting victims of gun attacks. He said he "weapons designed for soldiers in war theatres don't belong on our streets," and would like to introduce a ban on assault weapons. Score: 2
Romney: Said he believed in "no new pieces of legislation on guns" and argued, somewhat oddly, that two-parent families help gun control. Score: 1
Overall score: a close win for Obama, two points to one

Final round

Question: how can you bring more jobs back to the US?
Romney: Talked of wanting to make the country a more attractive place for small business and entrepreneurs, and attacked China. "On day one, I'll label China a currency manipulator," he warned. Score: 1
Obama: Agreed with Romney on the need to lower the corporate tax rate, but disagreed on how to do it. Said he supported "trade deals that make sure American workers get a good deal." Score: 1
Follow-up: Romney said "China's been cheating - stealing our intellectual property," while Obama admitted some jobs are never going to come back to the US. Both had weak answers: no extra points here.
Score: a poor draw, one point each

Closing remarks

Question: what do you believe is the biggest misperception the US people have about you as a candidate?
Romney: Tried to shake-off the legacy of his "47%" remark, saying "I care about 100% of the American people." He also talked about the importance of his faith. "We're all children of the same god," he added. Score: 2
Obama: Attacked Romney for his 47% remark, saying Romney dismissed people who have worked all their lives, students, soldiers fighting overseas and people paying payroll taxes. "I want to fight for them because I believe that if these people succeed, then the country succeeds." Score: 3
Overall score: Obama got the last word: three points to two

Final score

Obama was a changed man from the first debate, appearing confident, alert and passionate. Romney fought hard but was outplayed on a number of key topics.
Obama wins by 33 points to 20.

Cheryl Cole buys Katy Perry a complete set of lifesize One Direction dolls… say, WHAT?!

Cheryl Cole is reported to have bought Katy Perry five life size One Direction dolls for her birthday.
Katy is appaz a HUGE One D fan, which is handy. Copyright: [wenn/rex]

At which point we have just a few things to say…
First of all, as if Katy Perry is a One D fan!?
Actually, stupid question: everyone is.
Second of all, who knew Katy Perry and Cheryl Cole were mates?
Third of all, this is easily the most random piece of celeb news since it broke Gary Barlow will be playing Postman Pat in a new film?

Apparently, it's some sort of 'in joke' between the pair however, we feel pretty in on it as we would LOVE a whole set of life size One D dolls.
Or would that be just a smidge creepy? We are still undecided here.
A source told The Sun: "Cheryl and Katy have become close since they appeared on The Graham Norton Show"
"Cheryl's been busy with her tour so she wanted to make sure she sent a present well in advance and let Katy know she was thinking of her."
Cool or just plain creepy?! Copyright: [wenn]
And what better way to show someone you miss them than present them with five One Direction mannequins:
"She knows what a big fan Katy is of the boys and how she has a major crush on all five of them so she knew Katy would love the dolls."
Now that is what we call a birthday present!
We wonder if next year Katy will get the real thing?

‘I stood up Cheryl Cole to hang out with Dizzee Rascal’ says Tinchy Stryder

Tinchy Stryder has revealed that he stood up Cheryl Cole after she invited him to her after party.

While most men would give half their toes for even an hour with Cheryl, ol' Tinchy reckons he would rather hang out with Dizzee Rascal.
You see, Tinchy has been supporting Cheryl's Million Light's shows in London so got an exclusive invite to her post show after party.

Again, we would probably give up a few toes…
However, Tinchy would rather 'chill' than party with Chezza.
Speaking to The Sun, the rapper revealed that while the tour was 'fun' he was a no show at Cheryl's after party.
Tinchy has been supporting Cheryl. Copyright: [wenn]
"It's been fun, the plan was to go out after we both played in London but I ended up chilling with Dizzee Rascal."
So let's get this right Tinchy, you stood up Cheryl Cole?
"Sort of! We didn't want to turn up (to join Cheryl at the after-party) and leave shortly afterwards."
So Cheryl Cole invites you on tour and then out partying and you would rather stay in with your mate?
Tinchy says: "We don't go out and party as much. We just chill and listen to some music and catch up."
"Because you're always touring, doing promo and working, when you do get free time you just want to chill."
We expected more Tinch, we really did.

Ronaldo is first sport star to 50m Facebook ‘likes’

Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first sports star on the planet to get 50 million 'Likes' on Facebook.
The Portuguese superstar has his fair share of detractors - many see him as fantastically arrogant and irredeemably smug, traits which are only exacerbated by constant comparisons to Barcelona's relatively humble genius, Lionel Messi.
But it seems that plenty of you out there forgive those foibles and absolutely love the Real Madrid forward - or at least, you like him enough to click a small icon on a social networking website. His tally means that one in 20 people who use Facebook have 'liked' the 27-year-old.
Ronaldo is 11.5 million 'likes' ahead of his nearest sporting rival, Messi, on 38.5m, while David Beckham is third on 21 million.
But it is Ronaldo who is the only one giving the world's other biggest stars a run for their money. He has three million more 'likes' than Justin Bieber (46.9m) and Katy Perry (47.9m), for example, but trails overall leader Rihanna. The Barbadian singer is locked in a close battle for top spot, apparently: Eminem beat her to the 60m follower mark last month, but Rihanna is now ahead on 61.8m against the rapper's 61.5m.
Shakira (55.2m), Lady Gaga (53.3m) and Michael Jackson (52m) are the only other people above Ronaldo, unless you count Harry Potter on 50.9m.
Fourth on the list of sports stars is Michael Jordan, on 20.5m, while ronaldo's Real Madrid team-mate Kaka is fifth on 18.7m.
Kobe Bryant (14.1m), WWE wrestler John Cena (13.6m) and LeBron James (12.5m) take the next three spots, with Roger Federer next on 11.7m just half a million ahead of 10th-placed Rafa Nadal.
Maria Sharapova is the highest-placed woman in 13th place on 8.4m, one place behind Usain Bolt (9.4m) and just ahead of Sachin Tendulkar (8.3m) and Steven Gerrard (7.5m).

Peter Andre and Amy Childs get us pulling our biggest omg! faces EVER? *ultimate shocked face*

Peter Andre and Amy Childs had us pulling our biggest omg! faces this weekend after they turned up unannounced to omg!'s photo booth at Westfield shopping centre.

Pete has been surprising fans all day! Copyright: [omg!]

Amy Childs and Harry DerbidgePete left us all *gasping* when he turned up to shock fans who thought they were just going in our booth to have a quick photo taken.
Well, after all: what would be better to guarantee an omg! face than to chuck a celeb in the booth?

Plus, to make it an even huger omg! moment how about we don't tell the innocent shoppers anyone is in the booth, let alone Mr Peter Andre?
So yes, that's exactly what has been going on at Westfield all weekend.
Come down to Westfield and pull your best omg! face. Copyright: [omg!]
We've been standing outside and can confirm there have been plenty of *screams* loads of *shocked faces* and even, very nearly, a few *faints*.
Amy Childs was joined by her cousin, Harry Derbidge for more photobombing fun on Sunday. The pair told us before heading into the booth that they couldn't wait to surprise fans with their favourite catchphrases: "Shut up!" and "Well jel."
They also told us that omg! is a perfect fit, because they use the phrase all the time.
You see, it's all part of our *amaze* competition to win a whopping £3000 ASOS vouchers just by pulling your best omg! face, at Westfield or at home.

X Factor: Tulisa vs. Nicole Scherzinger: WEEK TWO FASH OFF pt 2!

Last night was the X Factor results show which means that one contestant leaves the competition, however it also means one other thing: FASH OFF!
The results show doubles up as a weekly fash off, obvs. Copyright: [rex]

Well, Tulisa and Nicole Sherzinger have two of the best wardrobes in celeb land, so it would be rude not to, right?
However, it would seem that Nicole had this one very much in the bag from the moment those doors slid apart.

Last night Nicole opted for the most gorgeous dress we have seen since, well er, the dress she picked for Saturday night's show.
Honestly, we are starting to think she has the most beautiful selection of clobber in all of celeb land.

It's not just on X Factor, we don't think this woman knows how to make a fashion faux pas — will Tulisa ever stand a chance?
Last night's dress was so amaze, it seemed to have it's own in built wind machine for added fabulousness.
Meanwhile Tulisa tried her best with this body con floor length creation, however we can't help but think it's a teensy bit unflattering, adding some non existent pounds to tiny T.
And we hate to say it but we are also not too hot on the severe up do and much prefer Nicole's soft curls.
For us, this is one Fash Off which belongs to Nicole, but who knows, one girls OMGorge is another's OMGross so let us know what you think!

Kim Kardashian likes taking photos of herself, Kanye West makes sure no one else can

Kim Kardashian is prepping for Halloween rather early posting a s glimpse of her costume on where else but her Twitter page.

Obviously, if you are Kim Kardashian then you want to look hot on Halloween and we think it's safe to say she has managed it.
However, we think Kim might have been taking a leaf out of the Mean Girls school of Haloween costumes, if you er, know what we mean.
Saying that, we are just surprised the reality star didn't just wear a black bikini with some ears and say she is a cat.

While Kim makes a lovely sexy leopard, we are almost definitely going as a fashionista panda to this year's party.
All we need now is to find someone to be our Rylan Clark.
However, while Kim loves a good old picture of herself, she isn't too hot on other people having a snap.
Not just anyone can take a snap of Kim K! Copyright: [Splash]
And that is where Kanye West handily comes in to defend his lady's honour.
The pair were out in LA last night when a lady paparazzo got all up in Kim's face at which point Kanye grabbed the camera.
The pap reportedly asked Kanye about Kim's ex, and we think she got just the reaction she wanted.
Kanye really is the ultimate proactive accessory, isn't he?

X Factor: Rebecca Ferguson debuts her full body vajazzle

Rebecca Ferguson had eyes popping out of heads across the nation yesterday when she stepped out on stage at The X Factor Results Show.
Is that Beyonce? Oh wait, it's Rebecca Ferguson! Copyright: [rex]

To summarise: she looked *amaze*.
Just when did Rebecca Ferguson turn into such a sex kitten?
We had to stop live tweeting for a couple of seconds just to gather our thoughts and pick our jaws back up.

It takes quite a lady to pull off a full body vajazzling but Rebecca might as well wear hers full time, she looks so hot.

However, we do think she would get some funny looks in Nandos and you hardly want passers by drooling all over your Peri Peri, would you?
In the words of one man we watched the show with: 'I'd love to crack a nut between those sparkly thighs'.
We believe he speaks for a nation.
This is most definitely Rebeccaa's Sasha Fierce who we reckon might just coincidentally be Beyonce.
We wonder if Zayn Malik was sitting at home drooling and imagining what could have been?
Plus, we don't want to have a little slip up a la Tulisa, but we can't leave this story without saying MILF at least once…
Now let's all go buy Rebecca's single, NOW!

Cleverley backs Rooney as captain

Tom Cleverley has backed Wayne Rooney's England captaincy claims.
Manager Roy Hodgson views the Manchester United man as a leader in waiting. And Cleverley endorses that view, feeling his Red Devils team-mate has all the right attributes, even the ability to deliver Roy Keane-style rebukes.
"When you want to win badly you'll do anything to achieve it," said Cleverley. "If people need telling, even in training, Wazza's not afraid to do it, or if I'm on his team and we're not winning he'll let me know."
Rooney skippered his country in a competitive game for the first time in Friday's 5-0 win over San Marino, but with Steven Gerrard returning for Tuesday's clash with Poland, he will be back among the foot soldiers in Warsaw.
Cleverley and Rooney are part of a strong United connection with England just now, with Michael Carrick and Danny Welbeck in the current squad and Phil Jones and Chris Smalling only missing through injury.
The connection between Welbeck and Cleverley is particularly strong, given the amount of time the pair spent in the Red Devils' academy set-up.
"We've known each other for many years now," said the midfielder. "I've been at the club since I was 11. He's been there since he was nine, so we've built up a relationship over the years, on and off the pitch."
The future certainly looks bright for the duo, even though neither player can take their place in England's starting line-up for granted. Indeed, Cleverley has still only made 21 senior appearances for the Red Devils and some critics look at his off-field endorsements and believe he is moving too quickly.
It is a suggestion he bristles at, saying: "I don't want to sit here and say I am completely level-headed but it does annoy me a bit when people say I am getting ahead of myself."
He added: "I got a day off on Saturday and went back to my mum's in Bradford. She would slap me down if it was needed."

Cameron to sign referendum deal

David Cameron is expected to sign a referendum deal with Alex Salmond
David Cameron is expected to sign a referendum deal with Alex Salmond
The Prime Minister is expected to sign a deal with Scotland's First Minister granting Holyrood the power to hold a historic referendum on independence.
David Cameron will meet Alex Salmond in Edinburgh following months of negotiations about the ballot, expected to be held in autumn 2014.
Private meetings between the two governments have covered contentious issues about the question on the paper, expected to be limited to a single Yes-No option.
Proposals for a second question on further devolution, short of independence, were firmly opposed by the UK Government.
The referendum is expected to be open to 16 and 17-year-olds as supported by the Nationalists.
The landmark event will determine a technical measure known as a Section 30, which passes power from Westminster to Holyrood to legislate on the referendum.
Mr Cameron has pledged that keeping the United Kingdom together is his number one priority.
In a speech he will say: "This marks the beginning of an important chapter in Scotland's story and allows the real debate to begin. It paves the way so that the biggest question of all can be settled: a separate Scotland or a United Kingdom? I will be making a very positive argument for our United Kingdom. It is now up to the people of Scotland to make that historic decision. The very future of Scotland depends on their verdict. It is that important. This agreement delivers the people's referendum."
Mr Salmond secured a mandate to hold the referendum by winning an unprecedented majority with his Scottish National Party at Holyrood last year. He said: "The people of Scotland gave the Scottish Government a clear mandate in last year's election to hold a referendum on Scotland's future in 2014.
"The agreement I expect to reach with the Prime Minister is one which ensures that not only is the referendum made in Scotland, but that the fundamental right of the people of Scotland to choose their own future is respected by all. The agreement will see Scotland take an important step toward independence, and the means to create a fairer and more prosperous Scotland. I look forward to working positively for a yes vote in 2014."
